The IT Data Architect I is required to design an advanced analytical platform to support HCA's to analytical growth into the realm of prescriptive and cognitive analytics.

The IT Data Architect I will:

Ensure that data has an efficient pipeline and interface, is organized, accessible, secure, and aligned with the department's objectives;Design and implement a highly scalable and fault tolerant integration architecture, approach and processes;Work with IT teams, business analysts, and data analytics teams to understand data consumer's needs and develop solutions;Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor to Chief Data Officer in data management issues, such as the application of data management principles, procedures, and tools for the improvement of, data interface, storage, data backup, data recovery, data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal, and data standardization processes and;Troubleshoot and support issues related to performance, security or capabilities of Cloud-based solutions.How does it get done?

The IT Data Architect I will Translate high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards, while providing operational maintenance and monitoring of Cloud-based solutions.

The IT Data Architect I is responsible for:

Collaborating with teams to provide technical guidance for Cloud options;Reporting on Cloud usage and costs logical taxonomy tagging;Designing and implements processes for the ETL process from various sources into the organization¿s data systems;Communicating with stakeholders to better understanding, reported issues, and bridge the gap between internal development design and external public facing user cases and;Leading and participating in peer review and quality assurance of project architectural artifacts across the enterprise architecture group through governance forums.Who are the customers?

This position will collaborate daily with the data engineer team, data analysts and like roles and security to provide the analytical community the means to support leadership in making informed decisions.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has:

Six (6) years of relevant experience in design and implementation of data models for enterprise data warehouse initiatives;Design experience in Azure Databricks, PySpark, or similar platforms with a strong ability in programming languages such as Java, Python, and C/C++;Data science languages/tools such as SQL, R, SAS, or Excel;Proficiency in the design and implementation of modern data architectures and concepts such as cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), real-time data distribution (Kafka, Dataflow), and modern data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks);Experience with database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Oracle, Hadoop, or Teradata and understanding of entity-relationship modeling, metadata systems, and data quality tools and techniques and;The ability to synthesize and clearly communicate large volumes of complex information to senior management of various technical understandings.

Minimum Qualification

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related quantitative field and one (1) year of combined experience in cloud engineering, cloud migration, data engineering, data integration, streaming data development, data warehousing, data curation, data analysis, design, storage, and data protection and security. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related quantitative field and/or direct experience in master data management, data analytics, or data engineering cloud engineering totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certificate.

Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.

Working Conditions

Office setting with extensive computer usage, may require after hours work, and some travel
