Senior Storage Engineer

DCI Job Requirement for:
Sr. Enterprise Storage/DPS Engineer
Location: Hickam AFB (TDYs to PACOM locations)
Job Description:
Serve as a Sr. Enterprise Storage and data protection and security (DPS) Engineer
Design and maintain SAN/NAS infrastructures
Ensure compliance to storage protocols
Configure storage solutions to meet needs of virtual and physical servers
Diagnose complex storage and data protection issues
Mentor junior engineers and lead projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation support
Ensure data protection through advanced backup and redundancy protocols
Qualifications:
BS in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, or a related field
8+ years of professional experience in enterprise storage engineering, including extensive experience with SAN, NAS, and object storage solutions
5+ years of hands-on experience in DNS engineering with a focus on backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and data retention strategies
Deep knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, including Dell, EMC, and other leading storage technologies
Proficiency in storage protocols such as FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, and S3
Experience with storage management software and tools
Expertise in virtualization technologies and their integration with storage platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM)
Strong understanding of cloud storage solutions including AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage
Advanced knowledge of data protection strategies
Experience with encryption technologies and securing data at rest and in transit
Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages
Understanding of RMF framework
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong documentation skills
Proven track record of delivering storage solutions in enterprise environments
Experience designing and implementing DR/BCP strategies
Required: Active Secret Clearance

Salary: $125,000-$155,000
