ROSEN USA is looking for a
Head of Human Resources
for their US sector that will be based in
Houston, TX.
This position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources Corporate Operations North America, and will be a part of the US HR team.
What role you will play in our team
The successful candidate will lead the alignment of HR services for ROSEN USA in order to meet business strategies and needs. The Head of Human Resources will be a key player in supporting the local Management teams in implementing HR strategy, processes, policies and procedures with the aim of aligning common practices across the organization. The ideal candidate will interact as a strategic HR partner with other functions and stakeholders across North America to align HR practices and support across multiple regions.
The Head of Human Resources will maintain a close working relationship with the Head of Human Resources Corporate Operations North America, Department Managers and the local Executive Management team.
Responsibilities:
What will I be doing?
Develop, maintain, improve, and implement human resources policies and procedures according to local requirements/needs and Corporate guidelines.
Work closely with the management by providing them with expert guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR services and keeping management abreast of issues that may affect operations.
Collaborate with the management to drive key HR related processes including but not limited to performance management, talent management, career development and organization development, and provide feedback to management and recommend changes.
Working with HR Business Partners regarding employee relations issues, ensuring they are managed in accordance with established policies, procedures and local employment law/ regulations. Review all terminations to ensure adherence to employment laws.
Manage directly a team of HR Business Partners and indirectly local HR personnel, including but not limited to, payroll, benefits administration, HR administration and employee information systems; providing support and guidance as needed.
Manage the compensation process in coordination with Corporate HR, to ensure standards are competitive with local market.
Support local management in strategic workforce planning and budgeting.
Manage the HR infrastructure in an efficient and thus cost effective manner.
Assess and anticipate HR related needs, communicate needs proactively within the HR department and business management.
Drive the implementation of Corporate and Regional HR projects, systems and procedures.
Ensure Corporate HR strategy is adapted and aligned with local HR projects and activities.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, improve our culture and increase retention.
Represent the company at personnel-related hearings and investigations and external legal matters.
Ensure full compliance with local law and where needed, international labor law legislation.
Consult with external/internal legal advisors as needed/required.
Work through complex or sensitive day-to day people management issues.
Forming and developing the local HR team to ensure highest quality and performance of HR services.
REQUIREMENTS
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
5-7 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager or HR Leader.
Experience leading people and projects.
Qualification or Skills:
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Good understanding of business strategy and the ability to create an HR strategy to align with business operations.
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, acts proactively and with a strong sense of urgency.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Track record of delivering extraordinary customer service.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Ability to maintain highly confidential nature of human resource information.
Proven experience with employee relations, U.S. employment labor law.
Experience with Alberta, Canada Employment Standards a plus.
Experience with Mexico Labor Laws a plus.
Bilingual English-Spanish a plus.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or PHR, SPHR certification a plus.
