Description

Major Functions:

Must be willing to learn the extrusion process. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. Must be an independent and motivated worker. We will train the right candidate!

Qualifications:

General.

Employees must:

Possess knowledge of all 300 product specs and quality standards.Perform basic maintenance on equipment including PM Sheets, oil changes, and clean tanks.Assist where needed in the department by supervisor.Be able to perform all jobs in the 300 department.Know all HFX and LD hose types.Assist in training less experience operators.Know how to inspect and mark all HFX and LD hose types.Keep department and work area clean.Know how to read and complete work orders.Know procedure for patching and splicing all hose types.Extruding Set Up.

Employees must

Be able to select proper tooling for all size of 300 hose.Complete set up of all up and down stream equipment.Pick proper material for scheduled run (rubber & fabric).Set proper line speed for hose type being ran.Know all types and sizes of jackets.Extruding Process.

Employees must

Be able to make adjustments for in process material defects.Be responsible for all equipment in operation during a run.Curing Process.

Employee must

Run curing procedure for all HFX and LD Hose types.Load and properly shrink hose on curing table.Properly remove hose from the 300 curing table.Be able to operate all equipment and attachments used in the operation.Cut and Roll.

Employee must

Be able to run cut and roll operation including hose printer.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Employee must be physically able to work in areas so as to not harm themselves or others, and must be able to safely use machinery and tools.Understand and verify quality through the use of gauges, tools, specs, and charts.Employees must be able to use scales properly to weigh yarns.Employee must understand how to fill out all paperwork for all areas.Must possess computer knowledge sufficient to perform the job.Must be a problem solver with good mechanical ability, and work well as a team.Employee must be able to communicate with the lead, quality tech, or supervisor any issues they may find that affects the performance of the area, or product.Skill level - moderate - mechanical ability required.

Strength Requirements:

Medium

Up to 50lbs of force exerted occasionally, and up to 20lbs frequently, up to 10lbs constantly

Work Environment:

Employee may be exposed to moving objects, high heat, wet/humidity, loud areas, dust, fumes, gas, and chemicals.

Education/Training Requirement:

High school diploma, or GED required.

Salary Description

$17.00 per hour with a $2 shift differential
