University of Miami Hospital - Interventional Radiology UTowerResponsibilities:Plans, assigns, supervises, and reviews work of staff involved in the delivery of radiology, ultrasound, and x-ray services.Supervises and performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction of a radiologist.Coordinates activities with departmental staff to assure maximum effect, minimize duplication, and enhance better utilization of resources.Prepares automatic inject with proper contrast for the procedure, adjusting all settings and parameters according to procedure requirements and radiologist preference.Assists in the development of in-service training for divisional staff and students.Establishes priorities for research development and monitors progress.Assists in compilation of statistical data for departmental evaluation purposes.Assists in the development of administrative and operational policies, procedures, and regulations.Monitors staff performance to ensure the highest level of care with the least amount of radiation exposure is being administered to patients.Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.CORE QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
Certificate or Associate degree in relevant fieldCertification and Licensing:
Certification in relevant specialty or fieldExperience:
