Essential Functions:
This position is responsible for:
Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset and engaging in Umpqua Dairy Mission Statement to identify value, prioritize resources and maximize improvement opportunities.Recruitment:
Partner with leadership to create and maintain current and relevant job descriptions; develop recruitment plan-managing through ATS, advertise openings, screen applicants, coordinate and participate in interviews and pre-employment evaluations to ensure the best talent joins the company reflecting our Purpose and Core Values.Onboarding:
Deliver new hire orientations and ensure that all onboarding training is complete. Assist with continual development and refinement of company onboarding process. Enter new hires into HRIS upon completion.Leave Management:
Manage the leave process including employee interaction, tracking, compliance, and administration. Work with HRM on complex leave issues.Compliance:
Partner with HR Leadership to ensure that the company remains compliant with federal, state, and local regulations (including completion of VET-100 filing, EEO-1 Reporting, etc.). Maintain annual postings, assist with AAP preparation.Event planning assistance:
Support the Human Resource department in planning and carrying out company events, including summer picnics, holiday parties, and recognition events, such as barbeques.General Office Organization:
Assist with and take an interest and ownership of HR department aesthetics and filing. Ensure that these areas are kept clean and organized.Training & Development:
Assess organizational training and development needs. Help to facilitate manager, supervisor and team member training as needed.Employee Relations:
Assist in all employee relation matters.Other administrative tasks as assigned.Minimum:
A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources or a related field or equivalent work exp.A minimum of 3 years HR generalist/administrator level experience, preferably in a manufacturing/food processing environment with a transportation division.Must be highly customer service oriented and a team player.Demonstrate good judgment and problem solving and decision-making skills as well as being an organized record keeper.Must be a trustworthy self-starter who can work independently on highly detailed tasks and deliver accurate, timely results.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel required. Must be "tech-savvy" and open and able to learn new applications.Must have a keen eye for aesthetics and take ownership in general office appearance and organization.Demonstrated organization and accuracy skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines. Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should priorities and/or deadlines change.Excellent verbal and written skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence. Must be able to build productive relationships across all levels of an organization.
Preferred:
-Working knowledge of Employee Health & Safety Practices.
-Experience working with HRIS and ATS technology.
