WHAT YOU'LL DO
The key responsibilities of a Sr. Network Engineer include the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of our growing customer base technologies and solutions. The right personality is an independent problem solver with a positive attitude. The ability to learn and implement new technologies is paramount. This position is part of a team of engineers responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet external customer objectives and SLAs. The focus of this role will be on FortiNet technologies.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Serve as a Technology specialist around FortiNet products and solutionsDevelop network rollouts, projects, process flow, documentation, and ongoing maintenance for assigned accounts as they relate to FortiNet solutionsEscalation point of contact for any FortiNet customer solutionsSupport, install, maintain, troubleshoot, and coordinate the usage of any FortiNet technologyAssess FortiNet customer environments and make recommendations based on needsWork within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to FortiNet network infrastructureProvide engineering support for network design, performance tuning, and monitoring for all FortiNet solutionsNetwork incident and outage escalation for Operations and Network Engineers as they relate to FortiNet customersPrepares other teams (CIM, Test & Turn Up, Customer Service & Support, Config-Line, Network Ops, etc.) by designing and conducting new and existing project training programs as they relate to FortiNet products and customer networksLiaise with FortiNet vendors and other IT personnel for problem-resolutionCreate and maintain all required network documentation, including diagrams and troubleshooting methodologies, using the provided toolsWHO YOU ARE
Key Qualifications
Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools6+ years of networking experience in environments supporting multiple vendors and networking products4+ years of FortiNet experience within a production environmentWell-versed with FortiNet products and solutionsNetwork Engineering and support of routers, switches, network security devices, and network management systemsDeep understanding of networking protocols (DMVPN, IPSEC, BGP, MPLS, VRF, QoS, Spanning-Tree, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, ACLs, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS)Proven ability to work under pressure and interface with senior managementProficient in the use of Visio, PowerPoint, Word, and ExcelCCNP certification or equivalent experience is preferredFortiNet certification NSE 7 is requiredExperience with PCI DSS standards preferredWHERE YOU'LL WORK
