TITLE:
Food & Nutrition Service Assistant Manager
This position exists only in school with an enrollment of 900 or more students. Placement on pay scale is determined by years of service as a Food & Nutrition Service Assistant or its equivalent.
QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or G.E.D.A Serv-Safe Certificate requiredKnowledge and understanding of the requirements and objectives of the National School Breakfast/Lunch ProgramKnowledge and prior experience in food preparation, serving, and sanitation standardsSatisfactory progress in previous job performanceAbility to work effectively with others in a pleasant and cooperative mannerComputer skills -Word, Excel, Production Records, Cash responsibility and InventoryREPORTS TO:

JOB GOAL:
To efficiently assist in the total management of a school food service facilityTo acquire proper training and be prepared to assume the duties of Food & Nutrition Service Manager in the absence of the Food & Nutrition Service Manager or when a vacancy occurs in a management positionPERFORMANCE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Food & Nutrition Service Manager in all aspects of food preparation, service, and sanitation. This will include responsibility for specific paperwork, deposits, and any other duties as assigned by the manager.
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS:
Manual dexterityCapability of frequent repetitive movementsAbility to lift up to 50# daily for short periods of time; frequent lifting of lesser weightLong periods (up to 8 hours) of standing and walkingAble to work in a warm, humid environmentAbility to work under pressure
TERM OF
EMPLOYMENT
10-month year; Grade 10
EVALUATION:
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
