Craft Performance Development Coordinator
POSITION SUMMARY
This position will support our Craft/Field Operations Team by partnering with our craft leaders and assisting with employee onboarding, performance reviews and management, career development, craft recruiting events, as well as temporary and full-time employee tracking. Other duties will include, but not be limited to, assisting in craft employee interviews and promoting the Okland brand to increase interest of new potential hires, both leading to the continued growth of our craft employee workforce and decreasing use of temporary employees.This position will be an integral role in aiding the operational initiatives for our commercial construction and concrete craft teams. This role will report to the HR Operations Manager with a strong connection to our field operations management team.LOCATION & TRAVEL EXPECTATIONSSalt Lake City, UT (on-site)Travel Expectations: Visiting jobsites and employee recruiting events as needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESExecute and assist with the performance review process for craft team members, in concert with field operations. Including monitoring on-site field performance assessments and feedback.Maintain and review performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.Support the delivery and completion of required online trainings related to the safety program and other operations standards. Champions the implementation of new technology or processes in the field and encourages safety and quality.Maintain and manage the administration of craft manpower tracking and dispatching in concert with operations and talent acquisition.Maintain and manage the temporary worker program in partnership with field operations and accounting.Coordinates and assists with the corrective actions, prevention, and performance improvement processes (PIP) alongside the HR Operations team. Including the support of workplace investigations as needed and requested.Coordinates the hiring process for new craft team members, in concert with the field operations.Coordinates the onboarding process for new craft team members, alongside the Safety Team & Field Operations.Other duties as assigned such as benefits open enrollment support, all hands meetings support, special events support, etc.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in construction management, HR, business or a related field is preferred or equivalent years of experience in a similar role.Experience in performance development, training, onboarding, or and recruiting is preferred.Background or experience in craft work is preferred, but not required. (Ex. laborer, carpenter, cement mason).3 to 5+ years of combined experience is preferred.This role requires bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. (Verbal and written).Must possess a valid Driver's License.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTSAbility to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to effectively lead, mentor and build high performing teams.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace.Ability to maintain the utmost level of integrity in all relationships and situations.Possess strong computer skills, proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.Advanced ability in negotiations and conflict resolution.Ability to drive company initiatives or objectives and inspire team to also embrace.PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities of this job. May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments; occasionally works near moving equipment and mechanical parts, heavy machinery, lasers, powder-actuated tools, and electrical equipment; possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles; possible exposure to internal liquids. This is a safety sensitive position where a momentary lapse of attention can result in serious injury or death. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally very loud.
