Semiconductor FABIndustrial Engineering Intern Role Overview: As a member of the IndustrialEngineering team, the IE Intern will work alongside experienced engineersproviding mentoring, guidance, and introductions to colleagues. As an IndustrialEngineering intern, you will gain experience working in a Class 100 CleanroomEnvironment with a wide array of automation tooling across various processareas, as well as interacting with other engineering groups including Process,Device Integration, and Equipment engineering. This Internship withMACOM will help the Intern to gain valuable work experience in a keydiscipline, build professional relationships, and take ownership of abusiness-critical project. Selected project may involve time studies, worksampling, facility layout, statistical analysis, cost/benefit analysis,manufacturing process design and other areas within the Industrial Engineeringfield. During the 12 weeks eachIntern will: > Begiven an individual and well-defined project with set outcome goals > Gainhands on experience > Receiveexcellent training and ongoing supervision > Beinvited to attend an intern webinar series > Attendnetworking/social events > Attendand present at Poster Session about each Interns project successes and pitfalls > Receiveformal, written feedback Requirements: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial/Systems Engineering Due to ITAR regulations, proof of U.S. citizenship is required Prerequisite Skills and Experience : Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills - oral, written, and presentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for effective and timely decision-making. Strong/Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel Strong data analysis skills and data visualization experience Adept in SQL querying and scripting Additional DesirableSkills: Experience with process mapping, facility layout planning (AutoCAD) Experience with performing time studies or projects involving capacity analysis Lean/Six Sigma certifications and/or project experience Understanding of semiconductor process flow, structure, and functions Experience in a manufacturing environment EEO: MACOM is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverseworkforce.
