Process Engineering Intern

Job Description

:

Process Engineer responsible for sustaining existing GaAs IC, RF Power Transistors and Diodes and developing new processes in the MACOM wafer fab located in Lowell, MA. Specific responsibilities include: sustains manufacturing processes to meet all factory indicators; plans and conducts experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle, drives improvements on quality, reliability, cost, yield, process stability/capability, productivity and safety/ergonomic over variables such as material, method, equipment, environment and operating personnel. Successful candidate develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.

Role Overview:

As a member of the manufacturingteam, the process engineering Intern will work alongside experienced engineersproviding mentoring, guidance, and introductions to colleagues. This Internship withMACOM will help the Intern to gain valuable work experience in a keydiscipline, build professional relationships, and take ownership of abusiness-critical project.

During the 12 weeks eachIntern will:Be given an individual and well-defined project withset outcome goalsGain hands on experienceReceive excellent training and ongoing supervisionBe invited to attend an intern webinar seriesAttend networking/social eventsAttend and present at Poster Session about each Internsproject successes and pitfallsReceive formal, written feedbackRequirements:

Currently enrolled in aBachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline.Must display strong sense of ownership, enthusiasm, optimism, drive, and dedication to the improvement of the process area.The ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.Due to ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Prerequisite Skills andExperience:

Excel, PowerPoint, Data Analysis.

Additional DesirableSkills:

Chemistry, Physics, background in semiconductors.
