WHAT TO EXPECT

Located remote from your home office in the East Coast Region, you will be working hands-on with our engineering customers in the field and helping design products that fit into their applications!

You'll be working with the Industrial Application Engineering team and reporting to the Fluid Power Field Application Engineering Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will be working with customers on a variety of product applications primarily in our Industrial Replacement market. You will help troubleshoot issues that arise with customer products and help design and recommend solutions using Gates products. Key responsibilities (to name a few):

Providing engineering service to customers and clients in the proper application and selection fluid power products Effectively present technical and product training material to internal and external customers Working cooperatively with North American Field Sales, Product Line Managers, and the Marketing Team to achieve organizational success Analyzing application requirements, providing failure analysis, selecting components, and making recommendations to meet system requirements Troubleshooting any questions customers pose via phone, email, and in-person. Building strong relationships is crucial to success in this role! ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's Degree plus 5+ years of progressive engineering experience OR 5-10 years of progressive engineering experience, required. Eager to be hands on working with our customers, engineers, sales, and marketing teams! Engineering discipline with a focus on Mechanical and Fluid Power systems, preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer personalities effectively. Excellent written and verbal skills - coupled with the ability to maintain and generate product application literature, media, and technical articles. Ability to travel to customers, plants and conferences as required (minimum 50%). Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize resources and project timelines. Power Transmission experience, also preferred Proficient in MicroSoft Office products Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship. PAY & BENEFITS
