Waste Connections is now hiring for a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team in our region office in Vancouver, WA!
A Day in The Life of A Waste Connections Recruiting Coordinator:
We are a busy, high-energy company so your time will be spent assisting the Recruiting team with the hiring process.
Your relationships with the recruiters you support is crucial. Expect daily communication with them as you are their partner to ensure candidates have a positive experience during the offer process.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable talking to people on the phone and is highly detail oriented and organized.
This position will be in person in the Vancouver, WA office. The hours will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm.
The starting pay will be $20-23/hour, depending on experience. The pay range for the job category is $20-25/hour.

Responsibilities:
Assist recruiters with their offered candidates which includes preparing offer letters and ensuring candidates complete the pre-employment background check, motor vehicle report, drug test, and other DOT required documents in a timely manner
Effectively track executed offer letters and manually upload into applicant tracking system, ensuring proper organization of employee documentation.
Track candidate progress from offer to start date accurately and effectively using an Excel spreadsheet
Maintain ongoing communication with hiring managers to ensure timely completion of system approvals
Monitor background checks, motor vehicle reports, and drug screens
Maintain organization and review of processes and procedures to ensure accuracy
Uphold and ensure compliance of all hiring processes and procedures
Consistent follow up/follow through to ensure a positive candidate experience
Liaison between candidate and third-party vendors; vendors include Workday, First Advantage, Concorde, Tracker, and others as needed
Collaborate and build positive relationships with multiple departments involved in hiring process, including HR, payroll, HRIS, and Safety.
Assist with job postings on different platforms, and assist with virtual and in person job fairs
Send recruiters calendar reminders for new employee check ins
Extend the positive onboarding experience by sending a Welcome email to every new employee
Provide daily updates to recruiters to ensure candidates are moving through the process in a timely manner
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in an administrative role
Bilingual (Spanish / English) is preferred
Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to self-monitor; meet recruiting deadlines and work with little supervision in a fast-paced, high activity environment and with a positive attitude
Strong organizational and time management skills with a natural ability to manage competing priorities
Great attention to detail
College degree preferred
Experience working with Workday (ATS) is a plus
