Job Summary and Qualifications

The PI Sr. Director of Emergency Services provides leadership in the development and execution of strategies to drive clinical and operational improvement in key areas of Emergency Services. The PI Sr. Director Emergency Services collaborates with Group Operations, CSG, and OSG Service Line Leadership to develop strategy, initiatives, and operational standards to improve care coordination and care delivery in our ERs. This position will lead multiple teams responsible for identifying performance improvement opportunities and executing strategies to improve operational, financial, and clinical performance.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

Works in collaboration with facility, division, CSG, and OSG Service Line leadership team to design and implement strategies and identify best practices to achieve improvement in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, physician engagement, and growth and financial measures.

Ensures organizational alignment in key clinical and operational processes for consistency in approach and execution across the company to improve quality, service, and growth in our facilities.

Develops implementation strategies in collaboration with corporate, division, and facility colleagues that maximize potential for clinical and operation improvement.

Serves as a resource to hospitals and divisions in the onboarding and education of new ER Directors.

Provides strategy and direction to PI Emergency Services Team.

Identifies performance variations and opportunities providing oversight to subsequent plans and drives execution.

Collaborates with facility, division, and corporate clinical and operational service line leaders to develop and/or identify best demonstrated practices to improve clinical and operational performance across the company.

Coordinates and integrates data and analyses for opportunity and performance review.

Defines data requirements for monitoring performance, improvement, and outcomes of care. Works collaboratively with IT&S and Clinical Analytics to provide meaningful reports and analysis to facility, division, and corporate leaders.

Facilitates Rapid Design Sessions to identify clinical performance opportunities and clinical process improvements, including identification of best demonstrated practices.

Evaluates delivery models, new or expanded lines of business and technologies, profitability/contribution margins, and best practices across the service line.

Cultivates positive relationships with and maintains an environment of collaboration and cooperation at all levels of the organization, including the division and the facility executive teams.

Drives material improvement in clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and volume/financial measure for key measurement areas as defined by the executive leadership team.

Possesses strategic vision, excellent communication skills, proven motivational capabilities, executive presence, and a demonstrated track record of delivering results and attaining goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.

Master's degree Business Administration preferred.

Qualifications:

5+ years of leadership experience in a hospital emergency department with demonstrated success developing and executing strategies, building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and optimizing performance metrics required.

7+ years of experience in large scale project coordination preferred.

The job may require up to 50% travel.
