Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney
Join a top-tier law firm based in Charlotte, NC as a Commercial Real Estate Associate Attorney. This position offers you the opportunity to be part of a dynamic legal team involved in high-stakes commercial real estate across the nation. You will handle complex transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and joint ventures, providing meticulous legal services and consultation. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of real estate law, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Compensation:
$190,000.00 - $340,000.00 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including drafting, negotiation, and closing of contracts. Provide legal advice on a wide array of real estate transactions such as leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and joint ventures. Conduct due diligence including reviewing due diligence documentation and reports, title documents, and lease agreements. Collaborate with partners and other associates to manage cases and provide timely and effective communication to clients. Structure complex real estate transactions ensuring compliance with state laws and regulations. Participate in client meetings and transaction negotiations. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the North Carolina State Bar. A minimum of 2 years and up to 5 years of experience specifically in commercial real estate law. Exceptional proficiency in utilizing MS Office tools such as Outlook, Word, and Excel for legal documentation and communications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Proven track record of managing large-scale real estate transactions. Experience in a law firm with a strong regional presence or national practice area in commercial real estate. Strong research, analytical, and negotiation skills. Detail-oriented with an ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Client-focused mindset with strong relationship-building skills. Experience with legal software and case management systems. Skills: Highly developed analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with clients and team members. Capability to function smoothly under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational abilities and a meticulous attention to detail. Robust negotiation skills that ensure favorable outcomes for clients. Demonstration of commitment to continuing legal education.
