OVERVIEW: The Office of the Provost and Vice-President of Academic Affairs supports all programs within Academics and those areas that directly support academics. This position is the first point of contact to all and requires one to be professional when interacting with fellow students and to leaders on campus including Academic Deans. This interaction can be in person, email, or by telephone. This is an opportunity to build your resume displaying increasing roles of responsibility to future employers.
JOB DUTIES
Meet and greet to assist students, faculty, staff and visitors upon entering the office
Act as receptionist and perform clerical duties as necessary to include, but not limited to:
Copy, collate and staple documents as necessary using copier
Answer multi-line telephone (transfer calls, check voice messages)
Fax documents
Filing
Sort and distribute department mail
Prepare word processing documents, spreadsheets, databases as necessary and under the direction of VP Office Staff
Web research
