Job Announcement:

The City of Webster's Community Development Department is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant position is an integral member of the community development team supporting multiple divisions in the department: Administration, Planning, Building, and Recreation. A primary function of this role is facilitating the rental of City facilities and parks by interacting with renters, processing rental applications, and coordinating payments and refunds. This position also assists with coordinating vendors and supplies for community events. The Administrative Assistant interacts with internal and external customers across departments and the community. This position performs administrative support functions of the department, including but not limited to ordering supplies, maintaining files, doing research, drafting documents, preparing public notices for public meetings, scheduling meetings, preparing meeting minutes, processing invoices, tracking departmental expenditures, preparing correspondence and other communications, and performing assigned tasks for the director and supervisors of the department as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:Requires three (3) to five (5) years of relevant administrative and customer service experience.Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.Requires high proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and an aptitude for learning department-specific software programs.Requires a valid Texas driver's license to operate a city vehicle during the scope of work as needed.Special Requirements:

This position occasionally requires non-standard work hours for special events and City Council or Boards & Commissions meetings. This position is not an essential services position; however, the employee may be required to provide services in the course and scope of employment for the benefit of the public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens.

Salary and Benefits Include:
