Position Information Working Title Audio Engineer Department University Television-0912 Requisition Number S_240934 Posting Open Date 09/13/2024 Application Review Date: (To ensure consideration, please submit all application materials before review date) 10/02/2024 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Description of Work Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska's NPR and PBS Station is looking for an Audio Engineer who will be responsible for performing independent audio acquisition and mixing. Minimum Required Qualifications Associate's degree in electronic media production, audio engineering or related field and one year of audio production experience; equivalent education/experience considered. This position requires detailed knowledge and consistent employment of industry standard procedures and techniques. Relies on highly developed critical listening skills in the appropriate application of these techniques to achieve the desired audio aesthetic. Ability to create an audio aesthetic that appropriately supports a documentary or performance program. Proficient in the operation and creative application of non-linear audio finishing systems and multi-track recording and mixing. Designs audio systems application and procedure tactics appropriate to program budgets and deadlines. The ability to enhance and improve techniques and procedures. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Three years' experience with audio production techniques for multi-camera studio or remote, and/or single camera efp shooting and editing and post-production audio.
