DISTRIBUTED COMPUTER SYSTEMS ANALYST - 64031001This technical position serves in the Division of Administration, Bureau of Finance and Accounting and has the responsibility for processing the validation of data received from multiple in-house users, working with these file submitters on data problem resolution, generating final submission data files, ensuring that the files have been included in the Systems' FTP application, and ensuring the proper processing of this FLAIR transaction data:Process and validate files from automated batch transaction systems, including payroll, collocated, telephone bills, to be sent to FLAIR via FTP or tape.Manage and modify timely authorization and set-up of security and related profiles and user resets for financial systems for the department, including FLAIR DACA and DACN access, FLAIR RACF (NASSAM), FLAIR RDS, FLAIR Information Warehouse and MRE, and the DFS Cash Management System (CMS).Provide data to system users within the department and to external agencies by using computer programs and reports to ensure that departmental data are keyed into the appropriate data systems. This includes, but is not limited to, workload, contract, disbursement transaction, and access control reports.Research, develop, write, and maintain up-to-date documentation for software applications including program listings and operational procedures.Coordinate and ensure the standard implementation of policies, procedures and systems operations and security requirements.Assist with the designing, coding, testing and documentation of computer applications and interface applications with existing mainframe applications or databases.Consults with users and conducts information assessments to determine user needs to define system requirements.Performs other related duties and special projects as required.Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position:

Knowledge of data processing principles, practices and techniques applicable to large scale computer systems.
