The IT Technical Specialist 3 will provide advanced technical support to internal users and remote employees on highly complex issues. This includes taking in support calls, troubleshooting and resolving highly complex issues regarding desktop issues, basic LAN issues, proprietary applications, in a Windows 10 & 11 environment. This position will require thorough documentation and follow-up skills regarding the IT department ticketing and tracking system. Additionally, the role involves coordinating PC and printer service and maintenance.Authorities

This position has the authority to configure desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and Active Directory basic privileges.Main Function Responsibilities

Manage the Skygate VDI Infrastructure.Troubleshoot CAD applications such as SmarTeam, CATIA, ProE, and AutoCAD.Understand industrial networking configurations and resolve communication issues between machines and computers.Develop and write scripts to improve IT tasks and the end-user experience. Act as the escalation point for both Desktop I and Desktop II for complex troubleshooting.Document detailed and accurate technical notes regarding each user issue and steps taken to resolve it.Act as a mentor for less skilled and junior technicians and technical interns.Keep management apprised of any potential issues and risks that are identified.Laptop/desktop Deployments and Break/Fix (Windows 10 & 11 Environment)Printer/Fax Deployments and Break/FixHardware/Software installs and upgradesComplementary Description

Qualification Requirements:Education & Qualification:A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or similar technical field requiredORAn Associate's Degree in Information Technology or similar technical field plus 3 years of related IT experience is requiredORA minimum of 6 years IT experience in lieu of degree is required.Plus QualificationCompTIA A+ CertificationCompTIA Network+ CertificationWork Experience - Technical knowledge:In addition to meeting the education requirement, a minimum of 5+ years of experience providing technical and customer support is required.Professional Skills:Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Experience in creating deployment images and creating deployment scripts (VB scripts; PowerShell)Remote support experience desiredVPN troubleshooting desiredExperience in VDI environmentDemonstrate advanced technical knowledge, in-depth experience in VDI and Industrial configurations,Knowledge in CAD applications and ability to troubleshootHigh level of knowledge with Windows 10 OS and MS product line, PC hardware, Desktop and mobile phones.Knowledgeable in supporting a wide range of Dell, Samsung, Microsoft products.Understand and apply best practices for building, deploying and securing in a 2,000 – 3,000 node environment.Knowledge of SCCM Microsoft endpoint configuration management.Technical knowledge, especially in desktop computing and end-user support.Behavioral Skills:Ability to work well within a team demonstrating strong collaboration internally and with external departments.A strong emphasis will be placed on customer support and working with upper and senior level management so a great deal of tact will be required when working with sensitive situations.Must display strong attention to detail and be able to manage stress.Exceptional and professional communication skills, both verbal and written are vital.Strong organizational and planning skills.Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing and time management skills during high stress situations while juggling multiple projects at the same time.Must be able to handle user complaints in a professional manner.Desirable Aspects:Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM)Software CenterPythonLinuxService NowDomain MigrationNetwork and Windows ServerMicrosoft Office 365Microsoft certifications desiredPower ShellWindows 10 & 11Dell DriversBomgarNexthinkActive DirectoryiPhone basic repair skillsSafran Seats USA is an equal opportunity employer.
