DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Clerical Assistant 2 will provide clerical duties and office support including typing and processing of documents for the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement Altoona District Office. This position will perform a variety of office functions necessary to ensure the efficient operation of the District Office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements: One year or more of experience using Microsoft Excel. One year or more of experience proofreading and editing various types of materials to ensure numerical and grammatical correctness and completeness. One year or more of experience answering and assisting with incoming telephone calls. One year or more of experience maintaining databases, spreadsheets, and logs. One year or more of experience working in a position that required processing invoices, payments, and managing financial accounts. All employees must obtain active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) and Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET) certifications issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
