$40.47 - $56.76 per hour

Job Duties:
Under supervision & control of licensed physician, interviews patients & assists in performing examinations & treatment (e.g.: Comprehensive Psychiatric Exams, psychotherapy), assists on rounds, notes progress of patients during therapy & examinations & makes recommendations for changes in treatment plan.
Reviews medical records (e.g., admission & discharge summaries) to assist in development of treatment plans; checks consumers' charts for changes in condition, signs of illness & errors; takes patients' history & writes medical reports; makes notes for physician (with co-signature).
Works with other team para-professionals & professionals on reviews of patients' progress; discusses & makes recommendations on patients' cases in treatment teams & medical staff meetings to develop treatment plans for patients; attends medical training seminars & courses; serves on various medical & agency committees; attends staff meetings; attends in-service &/or other continuing education courses relative to the growth & development as a physician assistant, plans & selects methods to share new knowledge with appropriate staff; act as consultant to treatment teams: meets with other clinical staff regarding matters involving medical care practice, designs, evaluates & implements therapeutic interventions; remains abreast of timely changes & developments; utilize OhioMHAS approved office software, approved intranet & internet resources & information systems in an appropriate network related manner as specified in the NBH Personal Computer usage guidelines for employees; in an emergency/crisis situation, will remain on duty at assigned site until situation is resolved & patient is stable; may be required to travel; may be exposed to dangerous patients & infectious diseases.

Qualifications
Certificate of registration as physician's assistant issued by State Medical Board per Section 4730.03 & 4730.04 of Ohio Revised Code and have valid certificate to prescribe in accordance with ORC 4730.44.
