Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our Finance team and has a new opportunity for an Affordability Program Manager. This position will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing and managing programs aimed at enhancing and supporting the overall affordability, including initiatives, governance and analytics. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams across divisions to ensure alignment with affordability initiatives.
This position is eligible to work remotely (8 or less days a month onsite) or hybrid (9 or more days a month onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.

Compensation
$75,000 - $86,000Exempt Grade 15Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive wages that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts.
What you’ll do
Program Development: Design and launch innovative affordability programs and initiatives that address customer needs and market demands. Create program frameworks, define objectives, and establish performance metrics.Strategy Execution: Implement affordability strategies in coordination with internal teams. Monitor program effectiveness and make data-driven adjustments to optimize outcomes.Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-divisional teams including finance, marketing, product development, and customer service teams to integrate affordability solutions into existing processes and ensure cross-functional alignment.Resource Coordination: Manage project resources, including technology, data and financial assets. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure efficient use of resources and timely project delivery.Compliance and Reporting: Ensure that all programs comply with relevant regulations and company policies. Prepare regular reports on program performance, including impact assessments and financial analyses, ensuring outcomes meet goals and objectives.Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in affordability and financial accessibility. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance program effectiveness and customer experience.
What you need
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or related area of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience.Two years of work experience in project or program management across cross functional projects.Ability to successfully manage, organize and prioritize multiple projects/priorities.Demonstrated statistical, analytical, problem solving, and research skills.Ability to lead, counsel, influence and find win-win compromise solutions through the interpretations of facts, practices, and policies.Aptitude for working independently, cross-functionally, and collaboratively to solve problems and implement changes.Ability to effectively communicate on a professional and technical level, both in written and verbal communications.Proficient in analyzing performance metrics and utilizing data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous improvement.
