Sr. Engineers, SoftwareT-Mobile USA, Inc.Position summaryT-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Sr. Engineer, Software is located in Overland Park, KS will lead the development of cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new, and modifying existing, software applications.Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Drive requirement analysis, design processes, vendor software customization, deployment planning, implementation, and production support for complex Mediation platforms.Develop high-level system architecture and design based on Network, Business and Product requirements.Develop system configurations for usage collection, processing, and distribution.Work with vendors on product configuration, product roadmaps, release management and ticket resolutions.Build and maintain large-scale high-volume data processing platforms.Build and manage Mediation platforms using COTS products and configure Mediation Business flows to facilitate Telcom Billing usage.Troubleshoot Application, Storage and Network related issues for large data processing platforms.Work closely with cross-functional teams (Network, Billing, Roaming, and Wholesale) to identify and implement complex solutions for system-related issues. Develop engineering requirements, firewall requests, and deployment plans.Skill requirements:Must have some professional experience in each of the following:Building Wireless Telecom Mediation Platforms on BareMetal and Virtualized environments using Veritas InfoScale and Redhat PacemakerPerforming COTS application and database installations, tuning, and troubleshooting on Linux operating systemUsing Shell and Python scripting, C, Ansible, and YAML to automate installation of, monitor, and execute test casesDesigning and implementing mediation application components using Ericsson Multi Mediation and Nokia MediationTroubleshooting network issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, NMON, and SARS and troubleshooting storage issues using virtana and kibana.Analyzing usage detail record data using Oracle and PostgreSQLExperience and education requirements:PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related and 5 years of relevant post-Bachelor’s progressive experience.Additional:Location: Overland Park, KSThis position is eligible for the employee referral program.How to apply:
