Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center, 1135 Gregg Highway, Aiken, SC 29803.Job PurposeSupports the recovery of persons served at ABMHC with the primary tasks of performing, under limited supervision, medical records, assisting with vitals, and administrative functions at agency.Job FunctionsProcesses all requests for medical records promptly and in compliance with SCDMH policies.Patient records are up to date and required documentation is added to the import section.Assists with administrative tasks at agency.Maximizes revenue to center by ensuring patient processing of all prior authorizations.Assist with taking vitals to include blood pressure and weight for patients receiving medical services.Participates in supervision meetings, trainings, and agency meetings.Demonstrates effective use of social and interpersonal knowledge and skills and demonstrates an understanding and appreciation of individual and group differences.Complies with Corporate Compliance and Risk Management policies and plans and completes documentation in record according to SCDMH/QA standards.Performs other duties as needed.Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the related experience.Agency Requirement

One year experience in a healthcare setting.
