The Business Operations Specialist - Supervisor will:
Provide overall supervision of the legal and clerical units;Ensure timely and accurate processing of legal actions and documents, including but not limited to the prompt legal service of documents, scheduling court hearings and correct entry of data into CSES computer system;Provide and coordinate administrative support services and activities for Health Care Authority (HCA), county office, county director, line managers and staff;Provide support services including all areas of client and customer service in reception area;Handel information requests, perform office clerical/secretarial functions;Direct and coordinate execution of personnel, fiscal, property management and management information systems;Supervise and direct the clerical unit ensuring the unit meets standards set by Federal and State mandates and incentive measures;Assist in other aspects of office operations.How does it get done?
The Business Operations Specialist - Supervisor is responsible for:
Monitoring areas of work processed by the clerical and legal units;Ensuring legal secretaries and clerical staff achieve established productivity and quality goals;Assisting in overall office supervision and needs;Providing and coordinating administrative support services and activities for HCA, county office, county director, line managers and staff;Devoting substantial portion of time assigning and directly supervising work of clerical and legal units including acting upon leave requests, conducting annual performance evaluations and recommending disciplinary actions;Interacting with customers;Multi-tasking while maintaining focus of accuracy;Responding to inquiries from various staff in regard to personnel issues utilizing State Personnel Office (SPO) rules and regulations as well as HCA policies and procedures.Who are the customers?
Parties of Child Support casesChild Support Services Division (CSSD) staff;State Disbursement Unit (SDU) and Centralized Enforcement Unit;CSSD Attorneys and Management.Ideal Candidate
The Ideal Candidate has:
Experience responding to inquiries utilizing SPO rules and regulations and HCA policy and procedures;Highschool diploma or GED;Three (3) years general office or customer service experience;Excellent customer service skills;Excellent verbal and written communication skills;Experience providing appropriate in person and telephone etiquette;Organizational and prioritization skills and is detail oriented;Experience supervising, monitoring and evaluating staff.
Minimum Qualification
Associates Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or Accounting and two (2) years of directly related job experience in the areas of budgeting, accounting, auditing, purchasing, cash management and/or financial management. Substitutions Apply. See Substitution Table below.

Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
Defensive Driving Certificate.
Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal history background investigation and is conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Occasional lifting of 20lbs. Some travel may be required.
