The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day functions within the accounting & FP&A departments, with a focus on accounts receivable, client billing, sales tax, collections, and Partner commissions. In addition, this role will support the Head of FP&A providing both forecasting and data analysis support. The ideal candidate should be extremely skilled with accounting functions, inquisitive, eager to learn, and able to juggle the multiple tasks below:

Responsibilities

Billing Processing & Collections

Processing of monthly AR invoices and credit notesMonitoring 30-60-90-day AR aging's on a regular basisMonitoring accounts over 30 days outstanding, researching 'why' and reporting accordingly to the appropriate business leader.Contacting past due accounts, not just to collect the money, but to investigate "why" and attempt to correct or reconcile the problem.Maintain customer master in NetSuite.Sales Tax

Reconciling Sales Tax Subledger in Avalara to General Ledger.Monitor and correct any variances between Avalara and NetSuite resulting from the invoicing or credit/debit memo cycles.Monitor Sales tax Nexus changes, working with external provider to register & file in new states as required.Maintain Avalara to ensure all tax returns are timely filed.Commissions

Quickly gain an understanding of our partner commission plans.Calculate monthly sales commissionsSupport partner inquiries.General Accounting

Participate in month end close & perform account reconciliations for areas assigned.With guidance, assist in designing, documenting, administering, and implementing process and control procedures, with particular focus on SOX compliance.Perform other tasks as assigned.Financial Planning & Analysis

Support the Head of FP&A by analyzing financial data and providing forecasting supportOther projects as assignedQualifications

5+ years experience (Minimum 2 years Large Public Accounting experience)BA in Accounting (Preferred)CPA PreferredKnowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting required.ERP & Systems experience required (preferably NetSuite & Avalara)Strong Excel skills required (e.g. Pivot Table & XLOOKUP experience) and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data.Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detailAn Innate Process and systems improvement focus; rethinking the status quo for continuous efficiencies.Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.Quick learner, ability to identify and resolve issues.Must be a self-starter and team player and able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment.Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with peers throughout the company at varying levels.Strong time management and organizational skillsWillingness to take on Ad-hoc projects as necessary.Base Salary

The Annual Base salary for this position will be between $110,000.00 and $125,000.00 based upon experience.
