Job Summary: We are looking for a Material Handler I. This position is integral to our team's success. You will be responsible for operating machinery to move materials around a facility for shipping, processing, staging, and receiving. This will include unloading, scanning, moving, staging, loading, locating, picking, relocating, and stacking products. The successful candidate will grow and develop in pharmaceutical warehouse operations- specifically in the areas of cGMP, temperature controlled and international shipping, as well as expand their proficiencies in material handling.
Responsibilities:
Assist shipping and receiving with unloading trucks and checking incoming materials. Accurately package, label, and weigh items to be shipped and ensure proper shipment method. Operates hand truck, cart, doilies, forklift, and walkie to transport items. Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse and dock area. Inspect materials upon arrival to ensure all goods are in acceptable condition, document and signs of damage, and resolve freight claims in a timely manner. Perform quality checks on incoming material as needed. Maintain inventory controls by pulling materials for staging and recording the amounts of materials or items received or distributed through paper and computer systems. Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards. The job function listed in not exhaustive and may include any responsibilities as deemed necessary Qualifications and skills:
1 to 2 years of experience in previous experience in similar roles or responsibilities. HS Diploma or GED required; post-secondary education preferred. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel. Capable of standing and bending for long periods. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately. Understand written and oral instructions. Forklift experience preferred. Why Join MedPharm?
