Starbird Chicken is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Accounting team!

The Senior Accountant is a member of the finance and accounting team and reports to the Accounting Manager

Job Duties:

Review and analyze month-end closing and consolidation for accuracy and completeness. Perform monthly analysis and review of balance sheet reconciliation and consolidated financial statements Assist with developing and applying the proper accounting treatment for complex and/or unusual transactions. Maintain debt schedule and prepare financial reports and analyses requested by financial institutions. Prepare documentation to support the annual review/audit process. Provide all information required for the preparation of annual tax returns. Develop and document standard financial/accounting processes. Provide support on special projects assigned. Monitor and analyze food, labor, and operational costs to optimize profit margins. Oversee the accounting for inventory, including proper costing of food, beverage, and other supplies. Manage accounting for multiple revenue streams (in-house dining, delivery services, catering, etc.). Reconcile daily sales reports from POS systems and address discrepancies. Ensure accurate payroll processing, including managing tip reporting and compliance with labor laws. Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting and minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting environment. At least 1 year of public accounting in the U.S. is preferred Knowledge of GAAP and experience in consolidated financial reporting. Prior experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly preferred. Understanding of restaurant POS systems and integration with accounting software (e.g., PlateIQ, Netsuite). Experience in managing inventory accounting and calculating cost of goods sold (COGS). Qualifications

Conscientious, initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction Good GAAP and financial reporting technical skills Excellent communication and problem solving skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite projects, particularly advance Excel skills Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities; solid time management skills and organized - ability to meet assigned deadlines High attention to details Strong knowledge of sales tax compliance, especially related to restaurant operations. Ability to handle a high transaction volume, especially with multiple locations or franchises.

$80,000 - $85,000
