LSU Health New Orleans Division of Auxiliary Enterprises/Wellness Center is seeking motivated applicants for the position of Group Leader (Unclassified WAE).The Pilates/Reformer Instructor is responsible for leading group and individual Pilates classes, focusing on improving clients' strength, flexibility, and overall fitness. The Instructor will design and implement customized exercise programs using Pilates equipment such as reformers, mats, and apparatus.Starting rate of pay is $20 per hour but may be adjusted based on applicants’ qualifications.If hired in a WAE Appointment, I understand that I am
not
eligible for or entitled to state benefits, leave earning, and paid holidays. I am only authorized to work up to
1245 hours
within a twelve-month period, regardless of the job title or state agency that I work within. The twelve-month period is established upon the initial date of hire, and the 1245 hours may be worked on a full-time, part-time, or intermittent basis within the twelve-month period. Only the State Civil Service Commission may grant exceptions to this rule. In the event the appointing authority determines that a layoff is necessary, I do not have rights to offers of relocation to another position.Duties and Responsibilities
Teaches scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time, provides adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool down.Instructs patrons on effective workout methods via exercise orientation; explains proper techniques, demonstrates exercises; identifies difficult muscle groups and teaches appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.Performs fitness assessments for clients to determine fitness needs.Gives tours to prospective members and covers front desk if needed.Please list all relevant work experience and education in the Employment history section of your application; this is how your rate of pay will be determined.
