FP&A Business Partner
to our team!
The FP&A Business Partner, a key member of the Controlling team, reports to the Head of Controlling (FP&A Director). This role plays a critical part in supporting the execution of the business strategy by overseeing all aspects of financial and operational planning and monitoring for tesa North America. As a trusted business partner to various stakeholders, the role is responsible for reviewing and analyzing results across all North American entities (tesa North America, tesa Mexico, Functional Coatings, and tesa Plant Sparta), providing valuable insights to drive strategic actions. By interacting with all levels of the organization, the FP&A Business Partner will use past and current data to guide decision-making, narrating financial forecasts and offering strategic direction. This position is expected to challenge the status quo, lead through influence, and help turn insights into actionable steps across the organization.
What you'll do:Partner with key stakeholders in Hamburg, Germany and regionally to support the periodic financial planning, forecasting, monitoring and measurement of performance (inclusive of annual and long-range business planning).Support the development of financial strategies and plans to achieve the organization's long-term goals.Ensure viability of financial plans, profitable sales growth and support the implementation of strategies.Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential financial outcomes.Partner with the leadership team to develop and monitor relevant KPIs to enable regional strategy execution.Support the strategy development process and corporate target development (e.g. corporate bonus systems), partnering with the leadership team to implement appropriate measurement systems for company performance.Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing a clear understanding of the company’s financial performance, key business drivers and variance to plan, inclusive of key insights requiring attention to drive action.Advise and support the business in areas related to future financial and operational performance.Support initiatives to improve financial performance and drive business growth.Build and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions.Track financial performance against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective actions.Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.Provide expertise and advice to functional and business unit leaders to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.Act as a financial advisor to other departments, providing insights and recommendations.Develop and maintain planning and budgeting systems.Identify, implement and improve financial planning processes and tools.Perform ad-hoc analyses to support specific business needs or opportunities.Other duties as assigned.What you'll need:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related technical business field (MBA preferred).8+ years of financial and business analysis experience, ideally in a global, process-driven manufacturing company.SAP experience.Advanced MS Office skills (preferred).
