We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Project Engineer based in Ranson, WV or Washington State, (onsite, requiring extensive travel) to join our Group Technology team!Travel the world and contribute your solid understanding of Mechanical Engineering as you work with a great team of talented engineers! Ranson, WV is just a short drive from Northern VA, with the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S., Canada, Europe and/or Asia. What You Will Be DoingResponsible for delivery of mechanical and plumbing utilities to ensure that all buildings, and all process equipment demand for utilities are fulfilled. This includes supply strategy, dimensioning and back-up considerations.Work with mainly design, installation, commissioning, and running-in of major projects, including that all equipment within the factory are supplied where required including: main utility supply strategy, tank requirements and installations, pump supply, dimensioning and redundancy (back-up supply) considerations.As expert and provider of design solutions, we look for your expertise:Take full responsibility for project execution: mechanical, plumbing and fire protection utilitiesEnsure that the necessary expertise from other departments - environment, safety, MMR's, is included in the solutionsCommunicate and supervise suppliers/contractors to place orders and follow up to ensure compliance with requirementsEnsure all documentation / reporting is done and archived following CE directives and GT rules, and available toolsSubstantial travel inside and outside of North America is to be expected for project execution, supplier visits, coordination, etc. Full mechanical utility scope for major projects, including:Compressed airWaterIndustrial waterMachine cooling waterWater sanitary installationsPotable waterWater treatment (reverse osmosis)Fire safety supply - living up to the FLPM (Fire & Loss Prevention ManualRain water collection, treatment and re-use (soil, surface and groundwater protection MMR)Erosion &sedimentation - storm water management (coordination with contractor)Oxygen and CO2Natural gasBuilding heat (gas)HVACPartake in budgeting and the development of tender material for suppliersEnsure secrecy and treat know-how confidentially, and comply with such rulesAdhere to company's code of conduct / values while representing company at all timesWhat You BringDegree in Mechanical Engineering3+ years working in a similar position, with site installation, mechanical design, machine construction, design specifications3D modelling using Inventor or a similar programFluent in EnglishAbility to travel both nationally and internationally 60% of the timeExtended periods of presence at project sites are required, ie. temporary relocationStrong communication skillsPreference given to candidates who have smith, mechanic or other type of craftsman expertiseWhat We OfferCompetitive Salary Generous Benefits - Effective your first day!
