This position is housed at the Jacksonville Unit Office in Jacksonville, NC and supervises a staff of 20 and oversees one satellite office in Kenansville. This Unit Manager is to ensure that quality Vocational Rehabilitation services are provided to persons with disabilities residing in 2 eastern counties: Onslow and Duplin.
The primary purpose of the Unit Manager position is to provide leadership to meet agency mission and goals within the context of its stated values.
Job responsibilities include the following:
Provides administrative, clinical, and case management supervision including training and technical assistance, personnel administration, and evaluation and planning. Designs and implements action plans to develop personnel and programs.Works cooperatively with one third-party school programs, multiple community rehabilitation programs, community partners and agencies, businesses, and the Division of WorkForce Solutions.Coordinates a vast array of specialized services from a diverse group of service providers and incorporates those resources into the service delivery functions of the Unit's work.Ensures that all aspects of the Unit's work are in compliance with federal regulations, state laws, and DHHS and EIPD policies.The DHHS Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities (EIPD) promotes employment and independence for persons with disabilities through customer partnership and community leadership
