Human Resources Coordinator/Generalist

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resource Coordinator to support and manage a variety of HR functions across the organization. The HR Generalist will be responsible for executing HR policies and procedures, handling employee relations, managing recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with employment laws. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of HR practices, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Manage the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Address and resolve employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and professional manner.
- Promote a positive work environment and employee engagement through various initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Support the performance appraisal process and help manage compensation adjustments and promotions.
Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update HR policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.
- Prepare and manage employee records and documentation, including contracts, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
Training and Development:
- Coordinate and deliver training programs and professional development opportunities for employees.
- Identify training needs and work with external vendors or internal resources to provide relevant training sessions.
HR Administration:
- Assist in managing HR systems and databases, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including organizational development and employee engagement activities.

- 3+ years of experience in a human resources role, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and handle sensitive issues effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of HR regulations and best practices, including labor laws and employee benefits.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
