HR Generalist
Primary Function:
The Generalist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR department, ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures, and providing support to employees and management. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefit, performance management, and other HR functions to promote a positive and productive work environment. Reports to Corporate HR Manager.
Location: Boston Office
Activities and Responsibilities
- Compensation and Benefits:
- Manage ADP workforce now System.
- Manage employees’ weekly payroll in ADP work force now.
- Mange Vacation Tracking and Support Implementation of ADP time and attendance
- Manage benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
- Coordinate open enrollment and benefits communication.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- Foster a positive work environment through employee engagement initiatives.
- Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, union and local employment laws and regulations.
- Update and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Support in creating recruitment plans
- Support conducting interviews
- Training and Development:
- Assit in planning and developing training programs for employees.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed.
- Performance Management:
- Assist the HR Manger during the performance appraisal process
- Assit in Monitoring and supporting line management in employee performance and provide feedback.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in HR role (experience in the construction or similar sector is recommended)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in benefit and administration, utilizing ADP’s Workforce Now – HR & Benefits / Payroll / Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations and Union regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
