Skills:

  • Ability to interpret create technical CAD drawings schematics.

Primary Purpose and Position

  • Lead to ensure equipment complies with all safety, environmental other regulatory compliances
  • Track engineering expense & capital budgeting compliance
  • Assist to ensure the proper design, installation, modification & maintainability of new & existing plant equipment, Buildings & facilities.
  • Assist engineering & maintenance to provide the necessary support to the production organization in order to promote the production of the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost.

Must Haves :

  • PLC experience – Programming and troubleshooting
  • Ability to be onsite in Danville, VA fulltime for this role
  • At least 2 years of experience working in electrical engineering
  • Manufacturing experience or related industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering

Nice to have

Ability to interpret & create technical CAD drawings & schematics

Experience:

  • 3 years’ experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering maintenance associates to achieve cost effective goals.
  • PLC Experience Equipment design experience project engineering or project management role is preferred

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform activities related to continuous improvement, including the analysis of product irregularities and recommending solutions.
  • Facilitate cost-reduction initiatives aimed at improving product costs. These duties will involve assisting in the training and instruction of team members and providing day-to-day floor support.
  • Identify performance issues through data gathering and analysis, leveraging technical knowledge of the product and processes to reduce waste.
  • Provide support in preparing cost estimates, financial projections, and project budgets. Review designs, supervise installations, and oversee commissioning activities.
  • Conduct research into new equipment, systems, and processes to enhance plant operations on smaller projects. Support safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance by working closely with relevant associates on environmental and safety-related issues.
  • Ensure proper implementation of management initiatives (e.g., MFOs) and foster improved communication across departments.
  • Assist with contractor management, periodically auditing contractor work to ensure compliance with safety standards and standard operating procedures.
