We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our team. This role will be instrumental in managing the recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes, while also providing crucial operational support to the Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for fostering a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting
- Assists managers with creating and updating job profiles and position descriptions.
- Creates job requisitions in HCM (Workday) and posts job openings on College website, job boards and social media.
- Screens resumes and applications for certain roles, and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers.
- Coordinates with hiring managers to facilitate the selection and job offer process.
- Maintains applicant tracking systems and ensure compliance with recruitment policies.
Onboarding
- Conducts new employee orientations, ensuring new hires understand company policies, procedures, and benefits, verifies I-9 documentation.
- Coordinates with various departments to ensure all necessary equipment and resources are provided to new employees.
- Manages onboarding documentation, including employment agreements and compliance forms in HCM (Workday).
Offboarding
- Oversees the offboarding process for departing employees, including exit interviews, return of company property, and deactivation of access.
- Ensures accurate and timely processing of final pay, benefits, and other separation details.
- Maintains accurate records of employee departures and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Assists employees with selecting benefits choices and navigating enrollment process
- Audits records to ensure accurate employee deductions
Human Resources Operations:
- Prepares of reports, presentations, and other documentation as needed.
- Maintains and updates employee records and Human Resources databases and electronic employee files.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and procedures.
- Responds to Human Resources-related inquiries and provide support to employees regarding company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in higher education institutions desirable
- Proven experience in Human Resources or administrative roles, preferably with exposure to recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with Human Resources software and applicant tracking systems (ideally Workday).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
