Overview
The Application Support Analyst I works with the Application Manager, other Application Support Analysts, and the training team to develop, optimize, and maintain clinical applications within the Epic system. This includes assistance with Helpdesk support for assigned Epic applications, as well as collaboration with End Users to provide optimal support for the system.
Responsibilities
Participates in workflow creation, design, development and tests the system, analyzes other technical issues, and resolves issues associated with Epic software.
Regularly consults with end users to determine necessary changes needed to maintain system (hardware and software).
Works with the Application Manager to ensure the system meets the organization’s business needs in regards to the Patient Access project deliverables and timeline by working with Epic representatives, and end users.
Assists with the training of end users, collaborating with other trainers by co-facilitating classroom instruction, and assisting with exercises as needed.
Collaborates with other disciplines to develop, build, integrate, implement, and maintain all Epic applications. Participates in core group meetings with Subject Matter Experts.
Participates in status review for all projects, issues, deliverables and end user concerns, ensures upcoming milestones are met.
Tests and troubleshoots existing and proposed assigned system(s).
Assists with development of role-based training content, independently or with team members, using a variety of software programs, tools, and applications.
Assists, when appropriate, in the design, development, and maintenance of instructional materials (such as presentations) including job aids and tip sheets.
Consults with Subject Matter Experts to develop the application for the most optimal end user experience.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Epic certification in all applications in their area and other related areas within 3 months of training/date of hire.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE:
0-4 years’ experience in healthcare or healthcare operations required.
Additional years of experience in programming and application support functions may substitute for a portion of the required education; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience working in customer service or a problem solving environment is preferred.
Minimum pay range
USD $54,410.00/Yr.
Maximum pay range
USD $94,462.00/Yr.
