Trueline's client, a well-established accounting firm with over 40 years of experience serving business owners in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a Tax Manager to join their team. What You'll Do as the Tax Manager:• Oversee and perform tax compliance activities for individuals and businesses• Prepare and review Federal and State income tax returns• Conduct tax planning, projections, research, and resolution• Manage client information requests and deliverables• Ensure accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns• Maintain quality standards across all tax projects• Provide support on special tax projects and initiatives• Collaborate with staff, clients, and management• Assist with firm-wide initiatives as needed
You'll Succeed as the Tax Manager if you Have:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting• 7+ years of relevant work experience at public accounting firms• CPA, MsT, or EA certification (or working towards it)• Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal and state tax regulations• Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax preferred) and QuickBooks• Excellent research and problem-solving skills• Superior attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skills• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively with team members at various levels• Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
