A top-tier law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. This role focuses on energy transition financing matters, providing the opportunity to work on internationally recognized and innovative energy finance deals. This associate will be involved in complex transactions related to financing and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in the energy transition sector, including tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization. The role offers multiple location options across the United States.Duties
Manage and execute transactions related to financing and M&A of energy transition projects and companies.Handle tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to project finance.Collaborate with clients on strategic financial matters within the energy transition space.Support the development and completion of novel financing deals in the energy transition sector.Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.Proven experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.Strong analytical and writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Strong communication, problem-solving, and research skills.Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.Good business judgment and ability to influence decisions.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree.Certifications
Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which the candidate is applying.Skills
