Suzano is expanding its operations in the U.S., and we are seeking an experienced Payroll/Benefits Specialist to join our team at our paper packaging facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This role is essential in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our payroll and benefits processes while fostering a supportive and efficient environment for our employees. The ideal candidate will have a background in payroll, benefits administration, and HR operations, with a strong commitment to maintaining confidentiality and employee trust. What You’re Going to Do: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other offerings, ensuring employees have a comprehensive understanding of their options. Act as a primary point of contact for employees on payroll and benefits questions, providing clear and accurate information. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll and benefits processes and ensure alignment with organizational policies. Conduct regular audits of payroll and benefits data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies proactively. Maintain employee payroll records, benefits enrollments, and necessary documentation in an organized and confidential manner. Support the management of payroll and benefits indicators and metrics, tracking the area’s performance. Manage relationships with external benefits providers and ensure services are meeting the needs of the organization and employees. Prepare payroll and benefits reports and monitor outcomes to identify areas for improvement. Participate in employee onboarding to explain payroll and benefits processes and ensure a positive experience for new hires. What We Expect from You: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in payroll and benefits administration, ideally in mid-to-large-sized organizations. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations. Proficiency in payroll and HRIS systems; experience with tools like ADP, Workday, or similar platforms is a plus. Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively and professionally.
