Suzano is expanding its operations in the U.S., and we are seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our team at our paper packaging facility in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. This role is vital in identifying skill gaps, developing training programs, and supporting employee growth to ensure a knowledgeable, skilled workforce aligned with the company’s standards and values. The ideal candidate will be passionate about employee development, experienced in designing and delivering engaging training content, and familiar with adult learning methodologies. What You’re Going to Do: Training Needs Analysis : Collaborate with HR managers and department leaders to identify skill gaps and training needs within the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. Program Design & Development : Create and develop impactful training programs and materials, including e-learning modules, workshops, seminars, and leadership development programs, tailored to support organizational objectives and employee growth. Facilitation & Delivery : Lead in-person and virtual training sessions for employees at all levels, ensuring materials are clear, engaging, and accessible. Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new hires. Training Administration : Oversee training logistics, including scheduling, attendance tracking, and ensuring availability of resources. Maintain accurate training records and reporting systems. Evaluation & Feedback : Implement methods to measure training effectiveness, collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously refine training programs. Continuous Improvement : Stay informed on HR and learning trends, integrating best practices in adult learning, instructional design, and new technologies into training initiatives. Compliance & Certification : Ensure training programs adhere to legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, particularly in workplace safety, diversity, and company policies. Collaboration & Support : Partner with HR to enhance employee engagement and retention. Offer ongoing coaching and support for employees and managers in the application of training content. What We Expect from You: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in employee training, learning & development, or HR-related roles. Proficient knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles. Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other training technologies. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives and meet deadlines. Ability to assess learning needs and design targeted training solutions. Knowledge of HR practices, compliance requirements, and workplace regulations. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Training and Development (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-CP, or similar). Experience with HR software and tools such as Workday, BambooHR, or similar systems. Previous experience in a corporate HR environment or a fast-paced organization.
