to manage contracts/proposals with various Air Force and other Combatant Command Agencies. The position requires knowledge of the government contracts field and will conduct the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to key stakeholders throughout the capture, proposal, and contract execution phases. This position requires the ability to multi-task and work several projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment. The individual shall be a confident, organized and detail-oriented team player with the ability to foster and build collaborative business relationships.This position is fully remote.The contracts principal must be self-motivated with the ability to navigate through contractual, legal and complex issues while possessing the following skillset:Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneouslyAbility to effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners/customers and interact with senior leadership of the Business GroupAbility to resolve highly complex issues, develop negotiating strategies and provide creative solutionsStrong interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsTypical Responsibilities Include:Client facing and have key role in building trusted relationships with client counterparts, represents organization as a prime contact on contracts or projects.Reviewing contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, government specifications and requirements, and conformance to master agreements.Works closely with project teams and maintains a high level of visibility on the account, demonstrating the value of the contract management function with project or account teams. Advises project management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.Interacting with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations.Developing solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.Ensuring solutions are consistent with organization objectives. Supports commercial work as well as complex efforts including Firm Fixed Price (FFP) defined delivery efforts.Proposal preparation and negotiation including writing of any contractual volumes.Contract administration of various contracts to include Cost Reimbursable (CR), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP)Provide mentorship to contract team members.Works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Work is reviewed upon completion by management to measure progress in meeting objectives.QualificationsRequired Education and Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, and minimum ten (10) years of related experience; or Master’s and eight (8) years of related experience. Four (4) years additional experience considered in lieu of degree.US Citizenship RequiredExperience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).Must have understanding of the government acquisition process.Working knowledge of FAR and Public Laws relating to subcontracting.Experience with International and FMS contractsExcellent oral and written communications and ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and independently with senior management.Cost proposal experience is requiredExperience with developing acquisition strategies for emerging technology (e.g., AI, cloud computing, etc.) including identifying and assessing new technology opportunities, understanding market trends and client landscapes, creating comprehensive acquisition plans, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The candidate should have a track record of successfully navigating the challenges associated with emerging technologies, such as risk management, rapid innovation cycles and evolving standards.Experience with as-a-service models (e.g., Software-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service)Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration.Full knowledge of industry practice.Desired Qualifications:Professional certification (CPCM/CFCM)Active Security ClearanceSAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
