Description
We are seeking an HR Information Systems Specialist who will be responsible for the processing and support of all HR life cycle transactions in our HR systems, Ellucian Banner, Jenzebar CX, and all third-party interface products. The HR Information Systems Specialist will serve as the primary liaison between Human Resources and Information Technology Services to ensure all HR processes in Banner are functioning as specified, taking corrective action if needed. Develop and maintain electronic forms, manage the processing workflow and manual data entry into Banner. Provide system training and ongoing support for end users in the HR Department and beyond.Responsibilities
Responsible for the day to day administration of the HRIS system to include inputting new employees, making necessary data changes, maintaining organizational setup and tables and overall system integrity.
Review reports provided by ITS for accuracy. Manage report data as needed to submit to the necessary reporting agencies ie. CUPA, ACA, USAble, (403)b Plan auditing and reporting, 990 tax return data compilation, AAUP survey completion, DOL reporting and wage reporting.
Manage employee required trainings through Vector Training Courses.
Troubleshoot problems and interface with ITS and Finance department.
Serve as the HR point of contact for handling inquiries from employees and others regarding HR related administrative systems access and processes.
Provide clear, thorough, and knowledgeable customer service related to the Human Resources suite of applications.
Lead and participate in large scale mass data loads and manual system updates.
Provide support to HR/Payroll team members as needed on meeting assigned deadlines.
Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with five or more years of related HR/HRIS/HR Systems experience required.Experience with HR information systems will be considered in lieu of degree.Additional experience working in a Human Resource ERP, IT unit, Business Analysis or as a Business Analyst can be substituted for education.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional administrative support or customer service in an academic setting.Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all individuals.Experience coordinating the resolution of issues in administrative operations, systems, or applications.The ability to work independently without direct supervision.Ability to exercise excellent judgment, discretion, and initiative to improve operational efficiencies.Systems thinking mindset with a focus on improving the user experience.Strong knowledge of MS Office including Word, Advanced Excel skills are required.Detail oriented.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management.Strong customer service orientation.
