Fatherhood Specialist

At Circle of Care, Inc., we're on a mission to spread Christian help, healing, and hope across Oklahoma and we're on the lookout for a talented individual to join us as a Fatherhood Specialist. This individual is responsible for providing curriculum-based parenting support to fathers and their families in Pittsburg, and/or McIntosh counties. This role includes facilitating curriculum, presentations, and activities, as well as supporting marketing and recruitment of participants in community settings as directed by grant requirements. The Fatherhood Specialist may conduct intake, and provide supportive case management as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate ongoing curriculum-based groups for fathers, co-parents, and families in the community using the 24/7 Dad curriculum.Conduct community outreach to recruit participants into the Fatherhood program.Complete intake and program screeners to determine appropriate recommendations or support services for clients.Assist clients with referrals to other community services and provide advocacy for clients and their families to access entitlements or necessary services.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring all agency recording requirements are met.Maintain monthly statistics and data necessary for program accountability and service billing, as applicable.Provide ongoing case management services for fathers enrolled in the Fatherhood program, utilizing client and family input to ensure effective support, as needed.Assist with special projects as they arise.Perform all other duties as assigned.SKILLS and ABILITIES
Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate groups effectively.Tolerance to work under adverse conditions.Open to learning and willing to use new skills and information; receptive to constructive criticism.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong attention to detail.Work independently, and as a team member, with minimal supervision.Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.Ability to conduct community outreach and build relationships to support program recruitment.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.Ability to adapt to new challenges and learn new skills quickly.Ability to use standard office equipment.Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel with the ability to learn additional software applications.Capable of lifting heavy objects of up to 20.Ability to ascend and descend stairs.Desire to work in a social service setting.Be familiar with all Circle of Care programs and facilities.Committed to the mission of Circle of Care and the Fatherhood Program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: A degree is preferred, but equivalent experience and a strong background in group facilitation and community outreach is highly preferred.Must be at least 21 years of age.Demonstrated discretion in dealing with sensitive issues and client privacy.Pass a thorough background check, Department of Transportation check, pre-employment physical, and drug test as required by Department of Human Services.Possess a valid Oklahoma driver's license and a good driving record.BENEFITS:
