Job Summary
The Director of Treasury is a key leadership role responsible for managing the organization's treasury operations and strategic initiatives. This individual will oversee all banking relationships, credit card processors, and credit facilities. They will ensure the company maintains optimal cash flow and liquidity while also securing and managing operational credit facilities, letters of credit, and surety bonds. The role will also encompass corporate finance functions, including financial covenant monitoring and ensuring compliance with all financial obligations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial modeling, with the ability to present financial projections, trends, and actual performance to secure credit approvals from external stakeholders. Additionally, this position will oversee the company's insurance management, ensuring adequate coverage and risk management practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesTreasury Operations:Lead and manage the treasury team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.Maintain and enhance relationships with banks, credit card processors, and other financial institutions.Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity strategies to support business operations.Administer banking platforms, monitor transaction activity, and ensure cost-efficient services.Credit Facilities & Corporate Finance:Secure, manage, and renew operational credit facilities, letters of credit, and surety bonds.Monitor and report on the company's financial covenants and ensure compliance with the terms of credit agreements.Collaborate with internal teams to develop financial models and analyses to support credit approvals, and communicate financial performance to external financial institutions.Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on liquidity, capital structure, and funding strategies.Insurance Management:Oversee the management and renewal of corporate insurance policies, ensuring comprehensive risk coverage.Evaluate and recommend strategies to manage risk exposure through appropriate insurance programs.Competency:Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.Skills & ExperienceMinimum 7 years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or related functions, with leadership experienceStrong understanding of corporate treasury management, including cash management, credit facilities, and insurance operationsDemonstrated experience in financial modeling, including forecasting, trend analysis, and presenting financial data to senior management and external stakeholdersExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with banks, credit institutions, and other financial partnersStrong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing treasury or finance teamsProficiency in treasury management systems and financial softwareAbility to analyze complex financial data, develop insights, and recommend actionable strategies.Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a high-performing treasury team.High accuracy and attention to detail in managing cash flows and financial projections.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly and persuasively.Work Environment
Hybrid, working in a typical office environment.Approximately 10% of travel, including working at shipyards, and working aboard our cruise ships
