An Interventionist will collaborate with classroom teachers and the Campus Problem Solving Team in order to coordinate instructional efforts.ResponsibilitiesCultureMaintain a student-centered perspective in decision makingBelieve that all students and teachers can learn and can achieve great thingsContribute to the equity work of the campus and network and engage in culturally responsive decision makingBuild and foster a culture of belonging through positive and professional relationshipsCultivate a strengths-based, equity focused mindsetCelebrate student growth and developmentFoster positive climate and cultureServe as a positive role modelInterventions 90%Implement the DS Model and MTSS ProcessesBuild strong relationships with students, families, and colleaguesMaintain an organized and welcoming environment that provides students with a sense of belonging, joy, hope, and safetyManage strong classroom procedures, routines, and rituals that maximize learningCommunicate frequently and consistently with students, families, and teachersImplement best practices in alignment with DS Model and maintain pace with grade level expectationsProvide individual and small group student interventions and monitor progress in core curricular areas for all grade levelsDesign, plan, and deliver effective Tier 2 and 3 interventions and strategies based on student need as co-determined by Campus Problem Solving TeamUtilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention and curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of identified studentsSupport behavior interventions and progress monitoringLeverage student voice in the design of the intervention and instructional strategiesMaintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development in the required network reporting systemsCollaborate with grade-level Teachers, Interventionists, School Psychologists, and other specialistsComplete other tasks/duties as required by Distinctive Schools and the PrincipalEngage in coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunitiesAttend and participate in required professional learning opportunitiesComplete other duties as assignedData Processes 10%Meet weekly with an assigned team(s) to analyze and respond to data and student work samples and assessmentsMaintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progressProvide data and student progress to school teamsAdminister diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring tools for students as neededAnalyze and use assessment data to design appropriate responses to support students in mastering grade level standardsParticipate in problem-solving meetings and teacher-parent conferences regarding students’ progress or needsServe as a member of the Campus Problem Solving TeamRequirements
