A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team in California. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of insurance defense matters, including bodily injury defense, construction defects, and employment-related claims. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex cases independently and collaborating with a strong legal team. If you're a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, this position provides the freedom to manage cases while maintaining a client-focused approach.DutiesRepresent clients in a variety of insurance defense matters, including bodily injury, construction defects, and employment-related claimsManage cases independently and collaborate effectively with team membersDevelop legal strategies and guide case direction, ensuring each matter is handled in line with client goalsDeliver exceptional client service and maintain strong client relationshipsLitigate cases, including drafting motions, responding to discovery, and preparing for trialsTake a proactive approach in finding creative legal solutions to meet client needsProvide legal counsel and advice regarding case progress and potential outcomesParticipate in firm-wide initiatives to improve case management processes and client satisfactionRequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State BarExperience in insurance defense, with a focus on bodily injury, construction defects, or employment lawAbility to manage a caseload independently and work as part of a legal teamStrong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to advocate for clients effectivelyAbility to develop creative legal strategies and meet client-specific needsExperience with litigation and courtroom proceedings, including taking depositions and preparing for trialAdditional licensure in other states is a plusEducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive California State Bar membershipSkillsExpertise in insurance defense, particularly bodily injury, construction defects, and employment lawStrong legal research, writing, and drafting abilitiesExcellent negotiation and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamProficiency with legal technology, including case management tools
