A law firm seeks an experienced and proactive Insurance Defense Attorney to join its growing team remotely from Riverside, CA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in handling a variety of insurance defense matters, with a particular focus on bodily injury defense, construction defects, employment law, or other related fields. This position offers both the independence to manage cases and the opportunity to work collaboratively within a dynamic legal team.DutiesRepresent clients in various insurance defense matters, including bodily injury claims, construction defects, and employment-related issuesDevelop and implement legal strategies, managing cases from inception to resolutionDraft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requestsConduct depositions, attend hearings, and represent clients in court as neededNegotiate settlements with opposing partiesCollaborate with senior attorneys and colleagues to enhance case strategiesMaintain strong client relationships by providing top-tier customer service and regular updatesEnsure timely case management and compliance with all relevant legal standardsUtilize technology and legal tools to streamline case management and document preparationRequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California State Bar, in good standingExperience in insurance defense, with a focus on bodily injury, construction defects, employment law, or similar areasAbility to handle a caseload independently while collaborating with a legal teamStrong litigation skills, including drafting motions, taking depositions, and representing clients in hearings and courtExperience negotiating settlements and resolving disputesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSelf-motivated with a proactive approach to case managementEducationJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertificationsActive California State Bar membership (additional state licensure is a plus)SkillsExpertise in insurance defense litigation, particularly in bodily injury, construction defects, and employment lawStrong research, writing, and document drafting abilitiesProven ability to independently manage cases and develop case strategiesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsProficiency with legal case management software and toolsAbility to work remotely while managing a high caseloadBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insuranceLife insuranceLong-term disability insuranceRemote work flexibilityCLE expenses and Bar dues coveredAccess to industry-leading technology and internal IT supportA robust marketing department to support business developmentCompany info
