BWC is currently operating under a hybrid schedule that may incorporate both teleworking and in-person office hours. Employees must be able to report to the office when requested by management &/or for their initial job training.
What You'll Be Doing:Reviews incoming claims documents (e.g. appeals, IC orders, self-insured applications, C256, C92/C92As) to determine required action; requests medical documentation & wage information from (e.g. TPAs, SI Employers, IWs, Employers) as appropriate.Assures all information on initial claims applications is complete and accurate when entering information into Claims Management SystemResponds to customer inquiries (e.g. general claims inquiries) in person, via phone, fax &/or e-mail, written with 24 hours.Contacts appropriate individuals to obtain missing information.Ability to manage a worklist/caseload that consists of C92/C92A applications, C256 completed forms, wages, IC orders, appeals, C92/C92A exams etc.Ability to issue tentative orders and summarize IC orders.What our employees have to say:

Qualifications
2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in English composition or grammar; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in accounting, bookkeeping or general math; 2 courses or 6 mos. exp. in communication or public speaking or 6 mos. exp. in a position involving receiving & responding to public inquiries or complaints or involving contact with injured workers, employers, legislators, providers or their representatives & public; successful completion of one typing course or demonstrate ability to type 35 words per minute.

Skill in:
operation of PC to efficiently log & enter data; claims adjudicating systems; use of general office equipment (e.g. telephone, copier/fax machine).
Ability to:
solve practical, everyday problems, gather, collage & classify information about practical, everyday problems, gather, collate & classify information about data people or things; handle routine inquiries from & contacts with injured workers, employers, legislators.
